Life at Enceladus :Search beyond Earth

Image
Enceladus is one of Saturn's icy moons and is yet another powerful candidate for the search for life beyond Earth. Enceladus has a vast liquid ocean underneath it's surface. This ocean water periodically erupts from Enceladus in the form of Geysers/Plumes . In October 2015, NASA's Cassini spacecraft made the deepest dive ever through a plume of gas and ice spraying from the south pole of Enceladus. The spacecraft "sniffed" the presence of Hydrogen. Hydrogen is like a "Candy" for microbes. They eat Hydrogen, then turn it into methane. So since Hydrogen in present at Enceladus, there may be a huge chance for microbes to exist. Not only this, the three primary ingredients for life has been confirmed at Enceladus. • Liquid Water • Source of energy • Right chemical ingredients So there actually might be a chance for Alien life to exist at Enceladus.
