This ocean water periodically erupts from Enceladus in the form of Geysers/Plumes . In October 2015, NASA's Cassini spacecraft made the deepest dive ever through a plume of gas and ice spraying from the south pole of Enceladus. The spacecraft "sniffed" the presence of Hydrogen. Hydrogen is like a "Candy" for microbes. They eat Hydrogen, then turn it into methane. So since Hydrogen in present at Enceladus, there may be a huge chance for microbes to exist.
